If you’re here, and you’re reading this, thank you.
I am a writer.
Not famous. Not rich. Not known.
You, the person reading this page, can help me get there. Of course, I only want your help if I’m deserving, if my writing is worth it, but it’s you who decides all that. If you’ve made it to this page, you’re either a stalker or a fan. Hopefully, you’re the latter. The former frightens me.
The story of my life is no simple one. Perhaps, I’ll write a small horror novel/autobiography one day. But until that day, here’s what you ought to know about me:
I am a writer.
I write because I need to. I have to. Verbal communication is not what it used to be. For example, being honest. Man, do I ever miss being honest. Honest with my feelings, my thoughts, my soul. Writing is the one way I can do that.
So, as much as I want to write well, please also note that the things I put on these pages are from my inner mind, my inner soul. Don’t judge me too harshly for my honesty. In return, I hope to give you edible pieces of literary delight. If you find them not to your taste, that’s completely fine. After all, I can’t stand the taste of boiled eggs. Maybe for you, my writing is a boiled egg.
And if not, then please, by all means, enjoy.
Now that you’re done reading the dramatic introduction, allow me to give you a more formal view into my blog.
I’m H.L. Sailer. I write for fun, as of right now. Eventually, I’d like to publish some works, but right now I’m trying to work on a fan base, get some mojo going for myself, and practice my world-building, character building and set-building. Basically, I’m working on building my stories. I publish a new post at least once a day, sometimes more. Usually, I tap out at two, but only because I know it’s hard to keep up with my writing when there’s so much else going on in everybody’s busy, busy, BUSY lives. Including my own. Most of my works are written and published the same day. Some things I have filed away for days when I know I won’t be able to stick with my laptop long enough to throw down a decent story, but those posts will probably have an author’s note at the end saying so.
As for personal info, I try not to give that out as I have real life stalkers that stalk me, not for my writing ability, but for other more nefarious and malicious reasons. So, I hope you don’t expect me to be giving out my address and such (sorry, that’s just not safe). I also don’t share much about my real life and what’s going on there, but if something major is happening, for example: if I do happen to get published or I’m going to be doing something where I’ll be away from my computer for a while, I will definitely let everyone know.
Other than that, I’d just like to sincerely say that I appreciate you being here. I don’t know what drew you here or how you came across my site, but thank you for sticking it out long enough to read my boring intro.
And if you’ve got any feedback, let me know! I read all comments even if I’m not able to respond right away, though I do usually respond to each individual one when my schedule will allow (I work a full time job and two part times, so there are some days when it might take me a REALLY long time to respond, but don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you, I’m just slammed at the moment). And I DEFINITELY, appreciate all feedback. And, should you like me enough that you feel the need to share one of my stories, absolutely feel free to do so! Nothing would make me happier! (Except a book deal, or a lifetime supply of Dr. Pepper, or a magical wardrobe that leads me into a mystical land where lions and wolves talk. If you can offer me any of those, please let me know ASAP.)
Well, I think that’s everything. If I find people have other sorts of questions, I’ll update this with the new info. I kind of view my “about” page as an evolving creature. One day, it’ll be more than just the missing link.
Thanks again for being here and taking the time to gratify me through reading my writing. It really does mean a lot. Truly, I hope you enjoy my work just as much as I enjoy doing this sort of work.
P.S. I have an Inkitt profile. Currently, there is one book available to read on it.

So far, it’s just Into the Wilderness, but here’s a blurb to give you a brief synopsis.:
Into the Wilderness: A story about survival, big bad werewolves, and vampires you’d like to take out for a nice Italian meal (if you catch my drift).
